ARTIST STATEMENT
In my youth, I was always fascinated by rocks and minerals. After a nearly 30 year career as a Chemical Engineer in plastics R&D, I now have the opportunity to re-explore this interest by making jewelry.
Kontoff Creations was formed in 2006 as an outlet for this new second career.
I offer three lines of jewelry for your enjoyment.

I cut and polish all my cabochons used in my jewelry, from materials having pleasing colors and/or eye-catching patterns. My jewelry designs typically are simple geometric shapes. I like to treat each cabochon as a work of nature’s art and use sterling silver and/or copper to frame the stone like a picture. I also have a large inventory of cabochons for sale for bezel setting in jewelry.

Jump rings can be combined in many types of weaves. I offer a selection of bracelets, ear rings, and necklaces of various ring sizes and weave patterns in sterling silver, brass, and copper.

Pendant and ear ring designs are available using resin as the medium. Geometric chambers on a sterling backing are created with bezel wire and are filled with epoxy mixed with colored glass enamel powders. Virtually every color of the rainbow can be used to create dynamic pieces of jewelry.
